This position is located at our Baltimore, MD, Advertising.com office supporting our core adserving team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Owns full life cycle development for the core ad serving system.
  • Responsible for server software that handles billions of web transactions a day.
  • Effectively communicates technical aspects of the job to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understands how group’s activities fit with other groups and the entire product.
     

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of related java development experience
  • Working with a major RDBMS (bulk loads, stored procedures, complex joins, etc).
  • SQL/NoSQL a plus.
  • 24x7x365 system design/implementation (3-9's SLA or better).
  • Mobile backend development (iOS, Android, etc.) a plus.
  • Large data management/manipulation. Real-time environment preferred.
     

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar technical field required.
  • Master's degree preferred - will consider those with less than 1 year of experience and a Master's.
