Modea is searching for a QA Engineer to develop and execute quality assurance testing efforts for our Fortune 1000 brands. This is a job for someone who takes pride in delivering flawless applications and programs. In this position, you will work with our development team to build test-first development plans, and assist in selecting and implementing testing tools. You’ll need to have a deep understanding of project requirements and goals so that you can develop customized test cases. And you’ll need to ensure that all testing efforts, from initial testing to documentation and revisions adhere to compliance standards and best practices.

Responsibilities 

• Develop, implement, and enforce QA processes, policies, procedures, and best practices to include testing of software across multiple hardware and software platforms.
• Build and manage testing infrastructure for enterprise-class server systems in areas including load, performance, functionality, stability, security and integration tests.
• Understand website specifications from requirements and work breakdown documentation.
• Drill down through website functionality as specified in application requirements to ensure website meets high level of quality standards.
• Build and execute positive and negative tests against the infrastructure to ensure requirements are met.
• Assist in managing the change control process (i.e., review, approve, document and track all change control requests).
• Log all errors in company QA system.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of IT, software development, QA and operational activities as well as related processes, policies and procedures.
• Attention to detail is critical.
• Minimum 2 years of software QA experience.
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience including Linux Apache, MySQL, php (LAMP),.net and SQL Server, HTML / XML
• Experience using cross-browser testing software.
• Ability to work within deadlines.
• Experience with bug tracking software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-starter and proactive.
