About us:

Beautiful.AI is building a single page app that actually understands the rules of great design and provides smart, design-aware templates that visualize and communicate hundreds of concepts, making it effortless for anyone to quickly build stunningly beautiful visual documents, like presentations. Think of it as automating the work of a graphic designer.

The role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer who is driven and can function independently on a small team. Our aim is to build a strong culture, one that relies on spirit of collaboration and discourse. You should be passionate about the software you build and the tools you use, and be willing to debate the choices we make as a team!

Our ideal candidate has:

• 6+ years professional experience/expertise with JavaScript
• Experience with complex single page application development, Backbone a plus
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, SVG
• A passion for the startup environment and working on a small team
• The ability to work well with minimal direction and enjoys figuring things out
• A passion for quality and making beautiful products
• Degree preferred

Bonus points for:

• Experience with automated test strategies for graphical applications
• Experience integrating 3rd party APIs for storage and data ingest
• Experience with Google Firebase and/or node.js
• Experience with pixel-level image analysis and manipulation
• Data Visualization, UX and/or animation design experience

You will:

• Work directly with our CEO/Founder who heads up product development
• Implement product features, associated documentation, and tests
• Provide thoughtful and thorough code reviews for other team members
