Front End Developer (Web)

Ford Models is hiring a Front End Developer to work on a project that meets the intersection of fashion, tech, modeling and design.   If you are passionate about JavaScript, front-end technologies, and are a seasoned developer, we want to talk to you about joining our small collaborative team in our NY office.  Our ideal candidate is a hard worker who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is a self-starter who loves to solve problems.

What you will do

• Perform detailed application design, coding in TypeScript or JavaScript, conduct code reviews and unit testing
• Actively participate in improvement of the team, project, and company level engineering processes
• Help develop landing pages and framework for user flows and acquisition

Qualifications - requirements

• At least 5 years of software development experience
• At least 2 years of professional front-end development experience
• Good knowledge of CSS3, HTML5
• Understanding of OOP principles, design patterns and functional programming
• Knowledge of network protocols

Qualifications - not necessary, but cool to have

• Experience with ES6/TypeScript
• Experience with JS frameworks (Angular2/React+Flux)
• Experience in team leading, leading or mentoring
• Experience with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap/Pure) and preprocessors (less/stylus/sass)
• Experience with build systems (grunt/gulp/webpack)
• Experience of development with Node.js
