Flight Software Test Specialist

DESCRIPTION

Exercise flight software changes to ensure that the changes reflect the implementation of defined functional and performance requirements without those changes disturbing processing characteristics which should not have been affected by the implemented change. Exercise software changes in both open-loop and closed-loop simulation environments. Develop appropriate test scenarios, test procedures, test data, and related test databases. Develop and maintain formal test documentation. Develop and verify operations scenarios and on-orbit verification techniques of uplinked software changes.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least seven years experience in the aerospace industry.
• At lease three years experience in spacecraft flight software test and verification.
• Experience with embedded software test spacecraft systems.
• NASA Experience.
• Experience analyzing simulation output products for complex attitude control mathematical phenomenon.
• Experience analyzing embedded computer performance and flight software processing characteristics.
• Proficient with PC Windows/DOS applications.
• US Citizenship required.

Education: Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution.
